Kofax Special Achievement Award

R2K Inc. received a Kofax Special Achievement Award for a high-volume forms processing application that automates data capture using R2K's CapturePoint methodology. The solution provides over 99 percent accuracy on hand-printed forms while achieving 1) substantial reductions in manual keystrokes and 2) an increase in keystrokes per hour, both compared with the previous data-entry system. This system is expected to reduce the customer's processing costs by hundreds of thousands of dollars a year through improved productivity and reduced labor requirements. The application uses Kofax Ascent Capture and the Ascent Advanced Forms Modules and was delivered using R2K's value-added integration and consulting services.

Kinetic Information Systems Process Innovation Award

Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield of New York was named as the first place winner in the Insurance category of Kinetic Information Systems 2001 Process Innovation Awards. Created in 1996 to honor superior applications for their business effectiveness, the Process Innovation Awards focus on the business benefits user organizations derive from their technology systems and recognize innovation in the application of information technology.

The award-winning installation at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield was implemented by R2K, whose knowledge and experience in imaging, workflow, integration and project management enabled them to implement a comprehensive solution that met all of Empire's requirements within an aggressive deployment timetable. Empire's initial goal was to reduce processing costs by moving data capture in-house. Additionally, Empire wanted to leverage leading-edge image capture and OCR technology to maximize throughput, minimize manual data entry, improve customer satisfaction and significantly reduce overall turnaround time for claims processing. This implementation also won Empire's internal Project of the Year award.

R2K is proud to have been recognized by AIIM and Business Solutions Magazine at the Channel Connection Awards, presented at the AIIM International Trade Show in New York. R2K was recognized for their implementation at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield as an innovative Forms Processing Installation.
